The Event Umbrella (TEU) was founded in 2005 with two goals - to deliver incredible live events and to enable event promoters, creative teams and cultural organisations to overcome the many hurdles faced in the ever changing event industry.  TEU took the unique approach of working closely with both event organiser and local authorities and subsequently developed a unique understanding of the complex task of delivering engaging professional events.
Over the years TEU has worked with the largest promoters in the UK, including Festival Republic and AEG Live, and have gained an incredible insight into the delivery of engaging, powerful and safe events.  Through working with the best, TEU now delivers the best with a broad programme of events ranging from international live music concerts to outstanding food & drink Festivals.

Today TEU also represents numerous local authorities through the delivery of a vibrant programme of events while also managing parks and open spaces relating to event hire on their behalf.  Ensuring revenue opportunities are maximised, TEU successfully reduces expenditure on behalf our clients.  TEU also chair Safety Advisory Groups and act as the sole representative relating to events to not only produce events but to also encourage a broad and diverse programme, bespoke to each client’s corporate strategy, through guiding and supporting applicants from concept through to delivery.

TEU provides a value for money service without compromising the safe delivery of successful, vibrant events that fit within the clients budgetary needs. Through working closely with communities, local authorities, commercial promoters, landowners and other stakeholders, TEU has developed a uniquely balanced understanding of what is needed to successfully deliver outdoor events. From tiny bespoke weddings working with a bride and groom through to the delivery of large scale concerts and festivals, TEU has the ability to work at every level with a team that has a huge combined experience in delivering events for the last 20 years across the UK, offering a full 360° service.

Our Approach

TEU is committed to delivering high quality events, effective project management and unrivalled customer service.

To ensure that our clients receive the level of quality they expect and that TEU maintains its reputation as an industry leader in public sector, private commercial and community events we adopt the following three principles in our approach to managing a contract:

Communication, Transparency, Adaptation

Through regular partnership meetings for the duration of our contracts our clients can be kept informed as the project develops and any concerns regarding our work can be identified at the earliest possible opportunity. At this point TEU can adapt and update their plans to meet client expectations.

TEU recognises the importance of transparency to our clients. The contract must be delivered with an open book budget so that our clients will be able to maintain a clear oversight of each project from start to finish.

Large projects, with many agencies, organisations and delivery partners requires a robust communication infrastructure. Upon being awarded a contract, our clients can rely on TEU to immediately establish lines of communication with the various interested parties. This will include regular correspondence through reporting and face to face meetings. Ensuring that everyone is up to date with the progress of an event is the easiest way of identifying potential problems early on and puts the delivery team in a stronger position to overcome them.

Every project is unique and no two events are ever the same, therefore, TEU believes the best way to ensure successful delivery of a contract is one where the service has been customised to the client’s exact requirements.
