The London Borough of Ealing has a long history of a vibrant events programme and over 100 parks and open spaces and TEU has worked alongside LBE since we began in 2005 managing their in-house festivals and events service. Over the last 11 years we have nurtured a vibrant and sustainable events programme alongside the development of a robust management system for parks, open spaces and highways relating to events.
Our contract on behalf of LBE covers the following:
Since 2010 TEU has operated a successful contract for LBRuT operating their in-house parks events service, including the following aspects:
We process and facilitate the hire of the borough’s parks and open spaces by external event organisers. This includes developing the existing externally led events programme and overseeing the successful delivery of these events. This includes such events as In The Night Garden and the Richmond May Fair. We also deliver a series of events on behalf of community groups to raise awareness and usage of the boroughs open spaces. These events include The Gruffalo, Our Big Gig, TwickFlicks, and Christmas events.
Our contract with LBH relates specifically to the venue management and hire of Gunnersbury Park and to the project management required for an enhanced consultation in relation to the application for a full premises licence for the park.
The Chatham Maritime Trust (CMT) dates back to 1547 and currently holds over 350 acres of the site adjacent to the River Medway, and an area of the largest urban regeneration sites in Europe which continues to develop to this day.
As the trusts nominated Event Company, we oversee any events held on CMT land. We secured the premises licence for Dock Square and manage anyone wishing to use it. We assist in the promotion and development of the land to visitors and residents and produce the annual Chatham Maritime Food and Drink Festival
In 2017 we will be assisting the CMT with the 350th anniversary of the Dutch Raid – Great Britain’s largest naval defeat at the hands of the Dutch. This is a huge event for Dutch and British naval and maritime enthusiasts and TEU will be programming a series of cultural and community events for locals and visitors alike.
Working for our clients, Canterbury City Council, we delivered two events on their behalf – Whitstable Oyster Festival and Canterbury Food and Drink Festival. As part of our contract we were required to take all fiscal risk on both events, produce and curate both events, securing licenses where appropriate and fulfilling the requirements of both the Safety Advisory Group and the contract as requested by commissioned services. Our contract for Whitstable Oyster Festival is 2012 – 2016 and for Canterbury Food and Drink Festival 2013 to 2017.
Robomagic is an independent music company with the desire to make the lives of both established and aspiring Artistes much fairer and more equitable at its core. The Event Umbrella is their Live Management and Production partner for their live gigs, national tours and festivals.
In 2016 TEU assisted Robomagic in the production and delivery of 2 major outdoor shows and several arena and venue shows. Both FOLD and Caught by the River were hosted in the beautiful but challenging environs of Fulham Palace and were delivered with great success. The TEU role at both events included delivering the full bar set up, curating the food and drink vendors, booking and planning all infrastructure entering the festival site, working closely with the venue, the borough and the emergency services to provide a safe and successful event, advancing and managing all artist engagement, as well as running the Artist Liason on site.
Additionally, TEU provided a Promoter Rep to act as the representative for Robomagic at many its live venue shows, working as the facilitator between band, venue and any contractors. This includes advancing the show and ensuring clear lines of communication, whilst adhering to the budget and managing other areas such as guest lists, ticketing, financials and the final show and venue settlement that need to be covered at the end of each show.
In 12 months working alongside Robomagic we have worked with a range of artists including Duran Duran, Craig David, Christy Moore, Loudon Wainwright III, We are the Ocean, Minus the Bear, Marriages and Balthazar, and with venues ranging from The Waiting Room, to Koko, to London Palladium to The O2 Arena.
As consultants we advised GBC on their events service, strategy and policy.
Our work with Southwark Council included delivering Southwark Carnival in 2012 and consulting and advising in regards to managing and maximising income from parks hire.
