YOU KNOW THAT FEELING WHEN YOU CAN'T STOP EATING BECAUSE EVERYTHING TASTES SO GOOD? WELCOME TO SHEMOMEDJAMO, A FESTIVAL NAMED AFTER THE GEORGIAN PHRASE FOR DOING JUST THAT.

Shemomedjamo is a mulitcultural food festival for Maidstone. A festival with a creative and intelligent programme, offering something a little different. It is a melting pot that brings people from all walks of life and from all backgrounds, to come together to enjoy food and music from around the collective table.

In its inaugral year Shemomedjamo offered amazing food cooked by street food pioneers, by grandmothers using traditional recipes and by local chefs and producers. Traders from across the globe created a menu that covered The Seychelles, Poland, India, the Caribbean, France, Greece, Italk, Korea, Thailand, Georgia, Russia, Mexico and from across the Garden of England.

Held in the stunning surroundings of Mote Park, this free event is delivered in partnership with Maidstone Borough Council.

Last year saw performances from King Gucharan Mall and The Dholl Blasters, Channel One, Jamie Rodigan, The Burning Hell, TootArd and Hak Baker.
